The Story Behind the Game

Cheddar Bob was born from a simple idea: create a baseball game that captures the strategic tension of a real at-bat, but can be played anywhere with just dice and your hands.

A Family Project

This game was designed and developed by the Novis family. What started as a way to pass time on road trips evolved into a fully-fledged game system with balanced mechanics and real baseball feel.

Why “Cheddar Bob”?

In baseball slang, “cheddar” means a fastball with serious heat. Bob? Well, every great game needs a great name. Cheddar Bob just felt right.

The Design Philosophy

We wanted a game that:

• Plays fast - No setup, no complicated rules lookups mid-game
• Feels like baseball - Strategy matters, but so does luck
• Goes anywhere - Fits in a pocket, plays on any flat surface
• Brings people together - Face-to-face competition, trash talk encouraged
